Frocktails events happen all around the world and serve as a social gathering for sewing enthusiasts. We’re excited to announce Victoria’s second annual Frocktails will be held March 7th, 2026. The venue will be announced shortly!
During the event, you can expect to enjoy cocktails or mocktails, light snacks, and the opportunity to meet and socialize with other members of the Victoria sewing community. There are already some lovely prizes donated by our sponsors that you can enter to win, with all proceeds from the raffle going to a local non-profit organization.
Attendees are encouraged to make their outfits, but that’s certainly not a requirement! Whether you’re an experienced sewist or just getting started, we’d love you to join us for Victoria’s second Frocktails event.

Your ticket to Victoria Frocktails includes:
Admission to the event (6pm - 10pm)
A selection of catered snacks and desserts
Access to all of the professional photography from the event.
Music, community, and more!
Yes, Victoria Frocktails is al all-ages event!
There will be a cash bar, so please bring two pieces of ID if you’re full of youth and enthusiasm (ie look younger than 30).
Attendees of Frocktails events often snatch up the opportunity to create a garment for the occasion, but we encourage you to wear whatever will make you feel comfortable and confident.
There’s no theme or dress code, but given the event’s theme, home made outfits are highly encouraged.

Victoria Frocktails 2026 will be held at the Fairmont Empress Hotel in their stunning Crystal Ballroom and Palm Court.
Discounts are available at the hotel for attendees from out of town (or just looking for a stay-cation!)
We’re so excited to have the gorgeous, magnetic Vivian Vanderpuss as our host for Victoria Frocktails 2026!
Vivian will be narrating the fashion show, helping us give our the raffle prizes, and stunning us with a musical number.

An absolute highlight of Frocktails 2025 was the attendee fashion show.
When you arrive at the event, you can sign up to participate and strut your stuff. Due to the increased number of attendees this year, fashion show sign ups will be capped and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t arrive too late!
Victoria Frocktails is being put on by a group of passionate sewists from Victoria:
Penny Lai is the owner of Gala Fabrics, a staple in the Victoria sewing and Lioness Club communities.
Erin Kerr is the owner of The Sewing Club, and loves throwing a party.
Olga Summers brings invaluable experience as an organizer of Toronto Frocktails and owner of The Hidden Dart Studio.

You have a few options if you choose to drive to the event:
Guests can park at the Fairmont Empress hotel’s underground lot
There are several public options a short walk away: City of Victoria parkades (like Yates, Broughton, View Street, Centennial, and Johnson).
There is quite a bit of metered on-street parking a short walk from the venue.
