What is Victoria Frocktails?
Frocktails events happen all around the world and serve as a social gathering for sewing enthusiasts. We’re excited to announce the very first Victoria Frocktails will be happening March 8, 2025.
During the event, you can expect to enjoy cocktails or mocktails, light snacks, and the opportunity to meet and socialize with other members of the Victoria sewing community. There are already some lovely prizes donated by our sponsors that you can enter to win, with all proceeds from the raffle going to a local non-profit organization.
Attendees are encouraged to make their outfits, but that’s certainly not a requirement! Whether you’re an experienced sewist or just getting started, we’d love you to join us for Victoria’s very first Frocktails event.
What does my ticket include?
Your ticket to Victoria Frocktails includes:
Admission for one
One drink ticket towards a selection of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options. Additional drinks will be available for purchase.
Light catered snacks
Raffle tickets towards prizes from our sponsors and an entry into the door prize
Access to all of the professional photography from the event.
Music, community, and more!
What should I wear?
Any thing you like!
Attendees of Frocktails events often snatch up the opportunity to create a garment for the occasion, but we encourage you to wear whatever will make you feel comfortable and confident.
Where is Victoria Frocktails?
Victoria Frocktails will be held at KWENCH in downtown Victoria, featuring open-concept design, heritage beams, banks of skylights, modern decor and furnishings, a stunning custom kitchen and a licensed beverage service.
The event space is wheelchair accessible and will be a beautiful backdrop to capture all of the memories from our very first Frocktails event.
Who are the organizers?
Victoria Frocktails is being put on by a group of passionate sewists from Victoria:
Olga Summers brings invaluable experience as an organizer of Toronto Frocktails and owner of The Hidden Dart Studio.
Penny Lai is the owner of Gala Fabrics, a staple in the Victoria sewing and Lioness Club communities.
Erin Kerr is the owner of The Sewing Club and Hair of the Dog Scrunchies, and loves throwing a party.
